Vantage Stats
An opt-in recorder inside the mod, and a web page that shows what your own client saw. What it is, how to turn it on, and how to take it all back.
On this page
Vantage Stats is the part of Vantage that keeps a record of your own SkyBlock play and shows it to you on a web page. It is off until you turn it on, one category at a time. This page is for anyone deciding whether to turn it on: what it does, what turning it on involves, what you get, and how to switch it off or delete it again.
The binding text on what is kept, and for how long, is the privacy policy. These pages explain the same thing from the mod's side, with the names of the buttons you will press.
What it is
Vantage Stats has two parts. Inside the mod, a recorder counts what you do while you play, and a mirror keeps a copy of your own profile as your client sees it. On this site, a page shows both, at an address you decide who gets.
Every number on that page is one your own client saw. Vantage Stats does not read your profile from Hypixel's API, does not look anybody else up, and does not rank or compare you with anybody: there are no leaderboards and no search by statistic.
In the menu it is the feature Vantage Stats, under General › Profile and playtime. It is not the profile viewer, which looks up any player's public Hypixel data and needs nothing switched on.
Off until you say so
The feature is off by default, and its switch only arms it. With the switch on and every category off, Vantage Stats records nothing and makes no network calls.
What it records is decided per category. Each category has its own switch on the consent screen, and all of them start off. What is recorded lists every category with the sentence the consent screen shows beside it.
Your choice belongs to the Minecraft account you are playing on, not to the computer. A second account on the same computer starts with everything off.
The choice is not an ordinary option either. It lives in config/vantage/stats/, outside your
config profiles, so a config profile you export or paste to a friend never carries your
consent, your sign-in or your page with it.
Turning it on
You need to be in a world on Hypixel for the last step, because that is the only time Vantage will ask Mojang to confirm your account.
- Join Hypixel.
- Open the consent screen: type
/vt stats consent, or open the menu at General › Profile and playtime › Vantage Stats and press Review beside Consent and categories. - Read it, and switch on the categories you want.
- Press Turn on and prove. This switches the feature on if it was off, writes your choice on this computer, and then asks Mojang to confirm the account is yours.
- A few seconds later a toast says Vantage Stats is on, and a chat line carries your page link.
The consent screen
The screen is one scrolling card, in this order:
| Part | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| What it records | Every category, with its switch and the sentence it ships with. |
| What is never sent, whatever you turn on | The things no switch can turn on: other players, chat, coordinates, your session token, anything about your computer, anything from outside SkyBlock. |
| Proving this account is yours | How the check with Mojang works, in three steps. |
| Who can see it | A secret link, until you change it. |
| Signing out is not deleting | Why those are two different buttons. |
Opening it again later shows the choice you made, and the button changes to match: Save when this computer is already signed in, Save and prove when it is not, and Turn everything off when you switch every category off. Turning everything off stops recording at once and deletes nothing. When this computer is signed in, the service is told at the same moment and your page hides what it held.
Proving the account is yours
Vantage proves the account is yours the way every Minecraft server does when you join it: your game answers a one-time code through Mojang, Mojang tells Vantage's service it was you, and your Minecraft session token goes to Mojang and nowhere else.
In the consent screen's own three steps:
- Vantage asks its server for a one-time code.
- Your game sends that code to Mojang, signed with your Minecraft session, the same call the game makes when you connect to a server.
- Vantage's server asks Mojang whether that code was answered by your account. Mojang says yes or no.
The check runs only when you press the button on the consent screen, when you type /vt stats link, or once by
itself in a game session when the service says your sign-in has run out. It never runs on a timer, and never while
you are connecting. Mojang remembers only the most recent check per account, which is why it waits until you are
in game.
If the proof fails
Each failure has its own sentence, and the button offers a retry only when trying again could help. A few you may meet:
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| Join Hypixel first. Vantage runs this check while you are in game, never while you are connecting. | You pressed it from the title screen or while joining. |
| Wait 30 seconds before trying again. Mojang only allows a handful of these checks a minute. | Too many checks in a short time. |
| Your Minecraft session has expired. Restart the game and try again. | The launcher's sign-in has run out. |
| This Microsoft account has multiplayer turned off, so Vantage cannot prove it is yours. Turn multiplayer on in your Xbox privacy settings. | Usually a family account's setting. Pressing again will not change it. |
| Mojang's login servers are not answering. Try again in a few minutes. | Mojang is down. |
A failed proof does not take your choice back. Vantage keeps recording on this computer, keeps what it has not
sent, and the status screen says the computer is not signed in. Prove it again later from the status screen or
with /vt stats link.
Your history, imported once
The first time an account signs in, Vantage sends, once, what this computer already knew about your play, so the page is not empty on day one. It goes only into the categories you switched on. A toast says Imported your history with how many numbers went. What is recorded says what is read and what is left alone.
What you get
Your page has two halves, and a switch at the top chooses between them.
| Half | What it shows | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Profile | Your profile as your client last saw it: skills, pets, gear, accessories, collections, the Heart of the Mountain and the rest, each part dated. | The mirror. It reads what you carry, your tab list, your sidebar and the menus you open yourself. It is observed, not polled: nothing is fetched and nothing is opened for you. |
| Activity | What you did: time played, sessions, kills, deaths, loot, coins in and out, and a timeline of notable moments, over any range of days. | The recorder's counters, sessions and diary, filed by day. |
A part of your profile you have not opened yet says Not observed yet on the page, never a zero. Your page goes through both halves tab by tab.
In the game, /vt stats opens the status screen, with five tabs: Overview (sync, what is recorded, your page
and who can see it), Categories (each category's switches and how much it holds), Checklist (which parts of
your profile have been read), What was sent (the exact batch waiting to go up, and any the server refused) and
Account (sign-ins, time zone, how long days are kept, export and delete).
Who can see it
Your page starts as a secret link, at an address with a random key in it that is listed nowhere. You can make it findable by your Minecraft name, change the link at any time, or delete everything. Sharing and visibility covers every setting.
The address itself comes from the server. Vantage never builds a page address of its own: it shows the one the service answered with, so the site can move without a new release of the mod.
While you play
Vantage uploads every five minutes while you are in SkyBlock and have something to send, when you leave a world,
when the game closes, and when you ask with /vt stats sync or the status screen's Sync now. Every upload
carries whole numbers per day rather than changes, so a retry, or a second computer, never counts anything twice.
Recording pauses by itself in lobbies, on SkyBlock Guest islands (somebody else's island or garden, whose sidebar
describes its owner), and anywhere outside SkyBlock. Nothing is filed under a profile until Hypixel's own
Profile ID: chat line has named it.
The feature has four options of its own:
| Option | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Sync while you play | On | Upload every five minutes instead of only when you leave a world. |
| Notify when a sync fails | On | A single toast the first time a sync fails, and nothing after that until it works again. |
| Mirror your profile | On | Read your own menus as you open them so the page can show your skills, pets and gear. Nothing is opened for you. |
| Timeline notes in chat | Off | Say in chat when something goes on your timeline, such as a personal best, a rare drop or a first. |
Off, signed out, deleted
These are different things, and Vantage keeps them apart on purpose. Turning something off never deletes it, and deleting never turns anything off.
| You want to | Do this | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| Stop recording one category | Switch it off on the consent screen, or on the status screen's Categories tab | Nothing new is recorded or sent for it, and what it recorded before is hidden from everyone but you. Nothing is deleted. |
| Keep recording, but not show it | The category's Hide switch on the Categories tab | Still recorded. Readers see that something is private, never what. |
| Stop everything | Review your choice, switch every category off, press Turn everything off | Nothing is recorded or sent. With this computer signed in, your page hides what it held. Nothing is deleted. |
| Pause it from the menu | Switch the feature off | Every collector stops at once. Your categories are remembered for when you switch it back on, and your page keeps showing what it already has. |
| Take this computer off your account | /vt stats signout, or Sign out here on the Account tab | The sign-in goes. Your stats are untouched. |
| Delete your stats | /vt stats delete, then /vt stats delete confirm within 30 seconds | Deleted on this computer and on the server, with a count of what went. Your page link changes; you stay signed in and your categories stay on. |
| Delete everything, page included | Delete my account on the Account tab, or on your page | The account, its page, its link and every sign-in. |
When the service is not ready
As of 2.0.1, Vantage's service takes stats. Vantage still asks it once per launch, and if a service ever answers that it does not, Vantage keeps recording on this computer, does not send and does not retry. The status screen says so once, in these words: Vantage Stats is not switched on for this service yet. Nothing is lost — your stats are recorded here and will upload when it is.
There is no error and no toast for this state. When the service is ready, /vt stats link proves the account and
what was recorded uploads.
Commands
Every command is also /vantage stats …. They exist even while the feature is switched off, so the ones you reach
for afterwards still answer; those that need the feature on say so.
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/vt stats | Opens the status screen. |
/vt stats consent | Opens the consent screen. |
/vt stats link | Proves the account with Mojang. Needs a category switched on and you in a world on Hypixel. |
/vt stats sync | Sends what is waiting now, or says why it cannot. |
/vt stats page | Prints your page link as a clickable line. When this computer is signed in, an open as owner button follows it. |
/vt stats page owner | Opens your page in the browser as its owner, with its settings. |
/vt stats checklist | Says how much of your profile has been read, and which menu to open for each missing part. |
/vt stats export | Writes everything this computer holds for your account to a JSON file. No network call, no sign-in needed. |
/vt stats delete | Prints what would be deleted, here and on the server, and waits 30 seconds for the confirm. |
/vt stats delete confirm | Deletes it, and prints how many rows went from each place. |
/vt stats signout | Forgets this computer's sign-in. Your stats are untouched. |
/vt stats status | Prints a block of plain facts for a bug report: whether it is recording, the categories, the sync state, what is queued. |
Every other command is in Commands.
