Commands

Every chat command Vantage registers, what each one is for, and the forms it takes.

Vantage can be driven from chat as well as from its menu. This page lists every command it registers, in one table generated from the mod's source, then explains them grouped by what you are trying to do: change settings, manage config profiles, open the HUD editor, check what Vantage knows, use Vantage Stats, and use the commands individual features add. It is for players who live in chat, and for anyone who saw a /vt line in a guide and wants to know what it does. It describes Vantage 2.0.1.

/vantage and /vt

Every Vantage command is a subcommand of /vantage. /vt is the same set of commands under a shorter name, so /vt hud and /vantage hud do exactly the same thing. This page writes /vt.

The commands run inside your own game: Vantage handles them before anything is sent to the server. Some of them then send ordinary Hypixel commands on your behalf, such as a party invite or a warp, and say so below.

/vt on its own opens the menu. /vt help prints the core commands with one line each, then lists every command a feature has added, marked "added by a feature".

Most arguments complete with Tab: feature ids, category names, your config profiles, preset ids, and the names of players online for the profile viewer.

How to read a command

Written asMeans
<name>Required: type a value here
[name]Optional: leave it out, or type a value
a | bType one of these words

A feature's command is registered even while the feature is switched off. Some tell you so when you use them, for example "The Bazaar Execution Planner is turned off."; others still answer, because they only report what Vantage already knows.

Every command is written here as /vt; /vantage in its place does the same.

Each row is one form of a command. The descriptions come from the mod's source; where a row has none, the sections below explain it. The developer tools, /vt dev and its subcommands, are not in this table: see Developer tools.

Settings and the menu

CommandWhat it does
/vtOpens the menu
/vt configOpens the menu, like /vt
/vt config <feature>Opens the menu on that feature's page
/vt toggle <feature>Turns that feature's master switch on or off
/vt featuresLists every feature with its id and state, grouped by category
/vt features <category>Lists one category's features
/vt reloadReads your active config profile and HUD layout from disk again

/vt config and /vt toggle accept a feature's id, its name, or any part of either that matches only one feature. /vt config abiphone opens the Abiphone helper, because no other feature has "abiphone" in its id or name. When more than one matches, the command answers "Unknown feature" and suggests /vt features.

/vt toggle answers with the feature's name and "enabled" or "disabled". When you switch a feature on where it does not apply, such as a mining feature in the Garden, it adds "(inactive here)": the switch is on, and the feature will start where it belongs.

/vt features marks each feature [off], [on] or [active]. [on] means switched on but not running where you are; The menu explains the difference. The category argument is one word: the category's internal name, such as mining, crimson_isle or qol, or the start of that name or of the display name, such as crim, or quality for Quality of Life. A display name with a space in it, such as "The Rift", cannot be typed whole.

/vt reload is for when you have edited a file under config/vantage/ by hand. It answers "Reloaded config profile '…' and HUD layout."

Config profiles from chat

A config profile is a complete set of Vantage settings, kept under its own name. These commands do from chat what the menu's Profiles window does; Profiles explains profiles in full.

CommandWhat it does
/vt profile or /vt profile listLists your config profiles and marks the active one
/vt profile switch <name>Makes another profile active
/vt profile create <name>Creates a profile as a copy of the active one
/vt profile delete <name>Deletes a profile
/vt exportCopies the whole active profile to the clipboard
/vt export <feature>Copies one feature's settings to the clipboard
/vt importMerges the settings on the clipboard into the active profile

A few rules are worth knowing:

  • create takes letters, digits, - and _, up to 32 characters, and copies the profile you are on. The New button in the menu starts from the defaults instead.
  • switch and delete take any name, but a name with a space in it must be quoted: /vt profile switch "default copy". Tab completion adds the quotes for you.
  • Switching a profile switches your HUD layout with it, because each profile has its own.
  • Deleting the profile you are on switches you back to default. Deleting default while it is active resets it to the defaults instead.

/vt export copies a single line of text starting VANTAGE1:, which you can paste to a friend or keep in a note. /vt import reads the same kind of line, or plain JSON, and answers "Imported config from the clipboard." It merges settings only; it does not bring a HUD layout and cannot be undone.

The HUD

/vt hud opens the HUD editor, where you move, size, group and hide every display Vantage draws. The HUD editor explains it. A key can open it too; it is unbound by default, and Keybinds says how to bind it.

Setup and presets

CommandWhat it does
/vt setupOpens the six-step setup
/vt presetsOpens the Presets screen
/vt presets listPrints every preset with its id, name and description
/vt presets apply <preset>Applies a preset by its id
/vt presets undoTakes back the last preset applied since the game started
/vt presets reloadReads the preset files again

/vt setup runs the same setup a new install sees, without resetting anything first.

The preset ids are look_minimal, look_balanced, look_everything, look_competitive, play_dungeon_runner, play_miner and play_farmer; a resource pack can add more, which list then shows. apply answers with what changed and reminds you that /vt presets undo takes it back. undo answers "Put everything back the way it was before '…'." or, with nothing to undo, "No preset has been applied since the game started."

First launch describes what each preset does and how undo works.

Checking what Vantage knows

These commands print what Vantage currently believes about the game and about itself. They are the first thing to run when a feature does not behave, and what a bug report wants.

CommandWhat it does
/vt versionPrints "Vantage" with its version, and the Minecraft version
/vt debugPrints what Vantage reads from the game right now
/vt debug dataPrints the state of the downloaded datasets
/vt debug data refreshDownloads every dataset again, in the background
/vt statusPrints the Vantage status lines

/vt debug

/vt debug prints one block, headed "Debug", with these rows:

RowWhat it shows
ServerThe server address, and "(Hypixel)" when Vantage recognises Hypixel
SkyBlockWhether Vantage thinks you are in SkyBlock
IslandThe island, with the raw mode and map names Hypixel reported
AreaThe area within the island
Server idThe id of the server instance you are on
ProfileYour SkyBlock profile's name, with [ironman], [stranded] or [bingo] when one applies
Purse / bitsYour purse and bits
DungeonFloor, class, time, boss, secrets, clear percentage, deaths and party, or "not in a dungeon"
FeaturesHow many features are registered, switched on, and active here
HUD elementsHow many HUD displays are registered
Config profileThe active config profile
MemoryMemory in use and available to the game, in MB
FPSFrames per second
VersionThe Vantage version

It also writes a one-line summary to the game log, so a log you attach to a report carries the same information.

/vt debug data

Vantage downloads a few datasets on its own and keeps them under config/vantage/data/. /vt debug data prints one line each for the dungeon room data, the SkyHanni constants and the NotEnoughUpdates constants, with whether each is loaded and how many hours ago it was fetched, then the folder they live in.

/vt debug data refresh fetches every dataset again in the background and answers "Refreshing all datasets in the background - check /vt debug data shortly."

/vt status

/vt status prints the same lines the Vantage status HUD draws: the mod version, whether the data services and the item repository are ready, how old the cached prices are, and where Vantage thinks you are. The Vantage status HUD feature, which draws them on screen, is off by default; the command works either way.

Reporting a bug

/vt bug <what went wrong> prepares a bug report and shows it to you. It sends nothing until you press Send: typing the command is a request to see what would be sent, not consent to send it. /vt bug with nothing after it prints how to use it.

The window it opens is titled "Send this bug report?" and says "This is everything that will be sent. Nothing else goes with it." It shows, in full:

  • what you wrote;
  • the Vantage, Minecraft and Fabric Loader versions;
  • the address the report would be sent to;
  • the list of mods you have installed;
  • the lines Vantage wrote to its log this session.

A last line lists what is not included: "chat, coordinates, your username, party or lobby players, your account, file paths, or the game log." Cancel closes the window and sends nothing.

After Send, chat tells you how it went. "Report filed. Thank you." means it arrived. If the same problem was already reported, it says so and how many reports it now has. If it could not be sent, nothing was stored, and you can try again later.

Troubleshooting says what to check before you report, and The service describes what receives the report.

Vantage Stats

Vantage Stats is the opt-in recorder inside the mod. It is off until you switch it on, category by category; Vantage Stats explains it from the start. Its commands are:

CommandWhat it does
/vt statsOpens the Stats status screen
/vt stats consentOpens the screen where you switch categories on and off
/vt stats linkSigns this computer in, by asking Mojang to confirm the account is yours
/vt stats syncSends what is waiting now, instead of at the next automatic upload
/vt stats pagePrints the link to your Stats page
/vt stats page ownerOpens your page as its owner, with the controls only you see
/vt stats checklistSays how complete your mirrored profile is, and what to open in game to fill in the rest
/vt stats exportWrites everything this computer holds for your account to a file, and links it
/vt stats deleteLists what a delete would remove, and arms it
/vt stats delete confirmDeletes it, if typed within 30 seconds of /vt stats delete
/vt stats signoutForgets this computer's sign-in and keeps your stats
/vt stats statusPrints a diagnostic block for a bug report

link needs at least one category switched on and you in a world on Hypixel. delete removes what this computer holds and, when you are signed in, what the server holds too, and your page link changes; it does not switch recording off or sign you out, and it says so. signout removes the sign-in, never the stats. Sharing and visibility and What is recorded cover the rest.

Commands features add

The remaining commands belong to individual features, listed here by the menu category of the feature. Each feature's name links to its reference page, which lists its options.

General

CommandWhat it does
/vt news or /vt announcementsOpens the announcements screen
/vt news dismissDismisses the announcement card at the top of the screen
/vt playtimePrints how long you have played, per session and per island
/vt playtime resetClears the recorded playtime
/vt pvOpens the profile viewer on your own account
/vt pv <player>Opens the profile viewer on another player
/vt ledgerOpens the grind ledger
/vt ledger printPrints the top ten grinds in chat
/vt ledger mute decaySwitches off the grind coach's rate-decay alerts
/vt ledger mute switchSwitches off the grind coach's better-grind alerts

The announcements commands belong to Announcements, and Announcements and updates explains the card. /vt playtime belongs to the Playtime tracker.

/vt pv belongs to the Profile viewer. Profiles are fetched through Vantage's own service rather than a key of yours; Profile viewer explains how.

/vt ledger opens the table of the Grind ledger, which measures every grind on one clock and ranks them by net coins per hour. /vt ledger print prints the same ranking in chat, ten rows at most, at today's prices, with each grind's median, range, time measured and number of sessions. Until a grind has enough closed sessions and thirty active minutes it is listed as not ranked yet, with the reason.

The two mute forms are what the chat line beside a Grind coach toast runs when you click it. Each switches one kind of coach alert off for good; it answers how to turn it back on under Grind coach.

Chat

CommandWhat it does
/vt chatPrints the chat subcommands: log, filters, rule, party, translate
/vt chat logPrints the last 20 messages Vantage hid
/vt chat log <count> [filter]Prints up to that many hidden messages, optionally only those hidden for one reason
/vt chat log clearEmpties the hidden-message log
/vt chat filtersShows which filters hid how much this session
/vt chat partyShows who Vantage thinks is in your party
/vt chat translate <id>Translates one player message
/vt chat rule …Manages your own chat rules (below)
/vt rp, /vt repartyDisbands your party and invites everyone back
/vt rp confirm / /vt rp cancelConfirms or cancels a pending reparty
/vt calc <expression>Works out a sum and makes the answer click-to-copy

The hidden-message log. Nothing Vantage hides from chat is thrown away. Each hidden message is kept, with the time and the reason in brackets: the name of the Chat Filters filter that hid it, rule: and a rule's name, focus-mode, banner and so on. The log holds the last 300 messages of the session; it is not saved when you quit.

/vt chat log prints the last 20. /vt chat log 100 prints up to 100, and /vt chat log 100 rule prints only those whose reason contains "rule". /vt chat log clear empties it.

Filters and party. /vt chat filters prints how many filters exist and how many messages they hid this session, then the 25 busiest with their counts and a clickable line that opens the log. /vt chat party prints the party members Vantage is tracking and who leads, or "Not in a tracked party."; the reparty and party features rely on that list.

Translate. /vt chat translate <id> is what clicking a player message runs when Translate On Click is on. That feature is off by default; with it off the command answers "The translator feature is disabled."

Chat rules. Chat Rules are your own: match chat by text or a regular expression and hide it, highlight it, play a sound, show a title or a toast. They are stored in config/vantage/chat_rules.json.

CommandWhat it does
/vt chat rule or /vt chat rule listLists your rules, each with a clickable [on]/[off] and [x] to delete it
/vt chat rule add <match> <action> <pattern>Adds a rule
/vt chat rule test <text>Shows which rules would match that text
/vt chat rule toggle <n>Switches rule number n on or off
/vt chat rule remove <n>Deletes rule number n
/vt chat rule reloadReads chat_rules.json again after you edit it
/vt chat rule filePrints where chat_rules.json is

<match> is one of contains, starts_with, ends_with, equals or regex. <action> is one of hide, highlight (yellow), sound (a note-block ping), title or toast. The pattern is the rest of the line, so it may contain spaces:

/vt chat rule add contains hide Sending to server
/vt chat rule add regex toast ^\[BOSS\] .+

A rule added this way is named "Rule" and its number. A regular expression that does not compile is refused with the reason. Anything a command cannot express, such as replacing text or another colour, is written in chat_rules.json and picked up with reload. For plain phrases, the Chat Rules page also has two lists, Quick hide and Quick highlight, that need no rule at all.

Reparty. Reparty disbands your party and invites everyone back. It needs to know who is in the party, so run /p list first if it says it does not, and only the leader can do it. With Ask before repartying on, which is the default, /vt rp and /vt reparty first post a clickable [Confirm]; typing /vt rp again, or /vt rp confirm, goes ahead, and /vt rp cancel stops it. Party members can also trigger it by typing !rp in party chat, an option of the same feature.

Calculator. /vt calc understands + - * / % ^, brackets, thousands separators, the SkyBlock suffixes k, m, b and t, percentages such as 20% of 500 or 500 + 10%, and the functions sqrt, abs, min, max, floor, ceil, round, log and ln. The answer is printed after the sum and copies itself when clicked. The Sign Calculator uses the same arithmetic on signs.

/vt calc 1.2m * 64
/vt calc 20% of 500

Inventory & Items

CommandWhat it does
/vt itemsOpens the item browser
/vt recipeOpens the item browser
/vt recipe <item>Opens one item's page in the browser
/vt storageOpens the storage overlay
/vt holdingsOpens the Bazaar holdings board
/vt protectProtects, or stops protecting, the item you hold
/vt protect <itemId>Protects, or stops protecting, every item with that id

/vt items and /vt recipe belong to the Item Browser. /vt recipe <item> finds the item by name; it needs the item repository, and says "The item repository is still loading." until it is ready.

/vt storage opens the Storage Overlay, every ender chest page and backpack on one searchable screen. It shows what you have opened before, so on a new install it asks you to open an ender chest page first.

/vt holdings opens the holdings board of the Bazaar Execution Planner: what you hold, and what selling each item would really fetch. The planner must be switched on.

/vt protect belongs to Item Protection, which stops you dropping, selling or trading away items you care about. Holding an item, /vt protect pins that one item. An item without its own unique id cannot be told apart from its copies, so for those the command protects every item of the same id instead, and says so. /vt protect <itemId> does that directly, for example /vt protect HYPERION.

Dungeons

CommandWhat it does
/vt dungeonPrints the subcommands
/vt dungeon roomDescribes the Catacombs room you are in
/vt dungeon waypoint or … waypoint listLists your waypoints for this room
/vt dungeon waypoint add [label]Adds a waypoint where you stand, named "Waypoint" unless you give a label
/vt dungeon waypoint removeRemoves the waypoint nearest to you
/vt dungeon waypoint clearRemoves this room's waypoints

These belong to Custom Room Waypoints. A waypoint is saved against the room, not the run, and rotated back into place every time that room turns up again, whichever way it faces. If the feature is switched off, add still saves the waypoint and warns that it will not be drawn.

Slayers

CommandWhat it does
/vt slayerPrints what Vantage knows about your slayer quest right now
/vt slayer resetResets the session counters
/vt slayer statsPrints your record for each slayer boss

/vt slayer is a diagnostic: the quest and tier, its state and progress, the area and the slayer it belongs to, how many bosses and minibosses are being tracked, whether the slayer dataset is loaded, and the island. Use it when a slayer feature does not seem to notice your quest.

/vt slayer stats prints one line per boss you have a record for: its level, how many you have killed, your average kill time, and your personal best at each tier. /vt slayer reset clears the session counters the slayer displays show; the lifetime record stays.

Combat

CommandWhat it does
/vt deathsOpens the Black box's index of your deaths
/vt deaths listPrints the index in chat

These belong to the Black box, which keeps the last seconds before each death and replays them. It is off by default.

Mining

CommandWhat it does
/vt miningPrints the subcommands: session, waypoint, share, clear, spot
/vt mining sessionPrints the mining session report
/vt mining waypointLists your Crystal Hollows structure waypoints
/vt mining waypoint <structure>Pins that structure where you stand
/vt mining share <structure>Shares a structure's waypoint
/vt mining clearClears your Crystal Hollows waypoints
/vt mining spotPoints at the next Glacite Tunnels spot
/vt powderPrints the powder grind report
/vt powder bankBanks the current powder run now
/vt routeLists your mining routes, marking the loaded one
/vt route new <name>Starts recording a route
/vt route addAdds where you stand to the route being recorded
/vt route save / /vt route cancelSaves or abandons the recording
/vt route load <name> / /vt route unloadFollows a saved route, or stops
/vt route delete <name>Deletes a saved route
/vt loop or /vt loop reportOpens the loop analysis report
/vt loop wipeDeletes the loop analysis data

/vt mining session prints the Mining session tracker's count of blocks, powder and coins for the session.

The waypoint, share and clear forms belong to Crystal Hollows waypoints. A structure is named the way the game names it, such as Jungle Temple or Goblin Queen's Den; the command also accepts a near enough guess. /vt mining spot belongs to Glacite Tunnels waypoints, which points at the gemstone spot your commission needs; the command cycles to the next spot of the same mineral.

/vt powder belongs to Powder grind, with its perk ETAs and run history; bank closes the current run and records it now.

/vt route drives Mining routes: new starts a recording, add appends your position, save keeps it under its name. load puts a saved route on screen to follow, unload takes it away. The same feature has keys for "next waypoint" and "add waypoint", listed on Keybinds.

/vt loop opens the Loop analysis report. /vt loop wipe deletes its session files and the regrowth delays it has learned for this profile, and starts a fresh session.

Fishing

CommandWhat it does
/vt fishingPrints whether you hold a rod, whether you are lava fishing, and your bait and how much is left
/vt fishing resetResets the fishing session counters
/vt fishing statsPrints how many sea creatures you have caught and how many trophy fish species you have seen

/vt fishing is a quick check of what the fishing features see; use it when one of them, such as the Fishing HUD, seems to have the wrong idea. reset clears the "this session" counters the fishing displays show. stats reads the per-profile record of everything you have ever caught, which reset does not touch.

Events

CommandWhat it does
/vt dianaPrints the Diana tracker's lines for this session
/vt eventsPrints the next twelve SkyBlock events
/vt eventlogPrints your event participation counters for this profile
/vt mayorPrints the current mayor and election

/vt diana belongs to the Diana profit tracker: drops and creatures this session, or "Nothing tracked yet this session."

/vt events belongs to the Event calendar. It lists the next twelve events within the coming SkyBlock year, each with when it happens. If the calendar feed has not loaded yet, it says so.

/vt eventlog belongs to the Event participation log: what you did during events on this profile, such as burrows dug or eggs found, the 25 largest first.

/vt mayor belongs to Mayor & election: the sitting mayor and perks, the minister, the term countdown, and the candidates while voting is open. If the election data has not arrived yet, it asks for it and tells you to try again in a moment.

UI & Visuals

CommandWhat it does
/vt directorOpens the Director's page in the menu
/vt director logOpens the Director's review screen
/vt director debugPrints what the Director would show right now, most urgent first
/vt markplayerLists the players you have marked
/vt markplayer <name>Marks a player, or unmarks one already marked

The Director keeps every HUD display enabled but shows only those about to cost you something. It is off by default. debug only has something to say while it is running in SkyBlock.

Marked players outlines the players you mark and highlights their names. It is off by default too.

Vantage Vet

CommandWhat it does
/vt vetOpens the Vet screen
/vt vet card [type]Copies your Vet card for a kind of carry to the clipboard
/vt carry [type]The same as /vt vet card [type]

These belong to Vantage Vet. A Vet card is a code you paste into /carry request on the Vantage Discord. The type says what the carry is for:

TypeCarry
F1 to F7Catacombs floors 1 to 7
M1 to M7Master Mode floors 1 to 7
KB, KH, KBU, KF, KIKuudra Basic, Hot, Burning, Fiery, Infernal
REV5, TARA5, SVEN4, VOID4, INF4, RIFT5Revenant T5, Tarantula T5, Sven T4, Voidgloom T4, Inferno T4, Riftstalker T5
OTHERSomething else; also used when the type is left out or not recognised

The card needs your in-game name, so it only works in a world.

Quality of Life

CommandWhat it does

Aliases. Command aliases are your own commands: one name for one or more Hypixel commands. Chain commands with ;, and use {1}, {2} for arguments and {*} for the rest of the line. You then run the alias by typing its name as a command. The commands of one alias are spaced a few ticks apart, because Hypixel limits how fast commands may be sent.

/vt alias add dungeon /party warp ; /joininstance CATACOMBS_FLOOR_{1}
/dungeon SEVEN

Reminders. Reminders takes a delay such as 20m, 2h or 90s; a bare number is minutes. /vt remind 45m check the composter sets one. /vt remind remove composter removes every reminder whose text contains "composter".

Warps and navigation. /vt warp belongs to Fast travel: with no argument it prints the warps you use most, and menu opens the radial wheel. A destination is matched loosely: an exact warp name first, then a warp that starts with what you typed, then one that contains it, then the closest spelling, allowing about one typo for every three letters. The match is then sent to Hypixel as an ordinary /warp. With the feature's Fuzzy /vt warp option off, what you typed is sent as it is. /vt navigate belongs to Navigation, which knows the named places of the island you are on; nearest hands the closest target any feature has published to the Route finder, which draws a walkable path to it.

Waypoints. Waypoints are your own markers:

CommandWhat it does
/vt wpPrints the usage line
/vt wp add <name>Adds a waypoint where you stand
/vt wp addat <name> <x> <y> <z>Adds a waypoint at those coordinates
/vt wp listLists your waypoints
/vt wp remove <name>Removes a waypoint
/vt wp share [name]Posts a waypoint's coordinates, or yours when you give no name
/vt wp clearRemoves all of them

share posts a line such as x: 12, y: 70, z: -40 (name) to party chat, guild chat, all chat or your clipboard, whichever the feature's share option says.

Collectibles, minions and the server. /vt souls belongs to Fairy souls and /vt relics to Spider's Den relics; the complete forms are for souls or relics you collected before installing Vantage. /vt minions belongs to Minion markers: every minion on this profile you have opened, with how long since it was emptied and where it stands. /vt server belongs to Server information: the server id, when you first saw it this session, how long ago you were last kicked from SkyBlock, and how many servers you have seen.

Party and commit guard. /vt rpt belongs to Command shortcuts. /vt commitguard remind is not meant to be typed: the Commit guard card puts it behind a clickable chat line that sets a reminder for when your run should be over.

Developer tools

/vt dev and its subcommands are inspection tools for people working on Vantage itself; they are present in every build, and Testing describes them.

  • The menu - everything these commands open, and how to find a setting without one.
  • Keybinds - the keys that do some of the same things.
  • Profiles - config profiles in full.
  • Troubleshooting - what to check before /vt bug.
